Imagine setting sail across the sparkling Puget Sound, with the Seattle skyline fading into a picturesque backdrop, as you chart a course just six nautical miles west to Eagle Harbor, nestled on the historic Bainbridge Island.

Bainbridge isn’t just another pretty island; it whispers tales of towering lumber mills, the skilled hands that crafted elegant sailing and powerful motor yachts, and even sun-kissed strawberry fields of yesteryear. Today, Eagle Harbor pulses with the energy of recreational boaters and bustling commercial activity, yet it’s a mere stroll away from the delightful downtown Winslow. Picture yourself wandering through unique shops and savoring exquisite meals at its fine restaurants.

VISITING FROM ANOTHER YACHT CLUB?

For all the details on our reciprocal moorage and the wonderful amenities awaiting you, navigate to Yacht Destinations. Upon your arrival in the heart of the harbor, marked by the west green buoy No. 5, give a friendly hail to the Winslow Wharf Marina at (206) 842-4202. You’ll find them conveniently located on the north side of the harbor, at number 4 on the map below. You will be required to show a valid membership card and fly your club burgee.

If our reciprocal facilities are unavailable, try the City dock (number 3), or for those who enjoy the gentle sway of anchorage, the designated area in the Middle Harbor awaits. Kindly note that anchoring is not permitted north of Prichard Park (number 10) due to important environmental considerations.

SPEED LIMIT

Keep your speed in check within Eagle Harbor – a leisurely 5 knots is the rule, creating a peaceful “No Wake” zone west of the green buoy No. 5 near the ferry terminal. The exception? Keep an eye out for the swift, wakeless support boats accompanying rowing shells, ensuring the safety of these athletes. You’ll also share these waters with graceful kayakers and lively summer dinghy sailing classes, so a watchful eye is always appreciated.

FERRIES

A word to the wise about our frequent ferry friends: unlike most harbors, it’s best to navigate west and south of their paths as they enter, keeping close to green dolphins Nos. 1 & 3, and then green buoy No. 5. Remember, ferries have the right-of-way as they motor in and out of Eagle Harbor. The entire crew at the Eagle Harbor Yacht Club hopes you’ll find our island’s charm and beauty utterly irresistible.
